Rock It was made on the Zugspitze. At 2,962 metres this is the highest point in Germany, the crown of the Wetterstein range — and from its summit ridge the mountains stack themselves into layers: pale limestone behind pale limestone, each range a shade further into the haze, until the last one gives way to sky.
Look closely along the crest and the photograph gives away its scale — climbers, no bigger than commas, threading the warm rock between the camera and the summit. That contrast is the whole picture: one hard, sunlit ridge up close against a world of mountains softly fading behind it. It is the first image this atelier releases, and the reason FSP — Shop exists: a photograph worth printing deserves an edition that is counted and signed by the person who made it.
“Each print leaves my hands before it reaches yours.”
